Can I bring my child?

The Sacramento Witches’ Ball is exclusively for people 18 years of age and older.

How long will the Witches’ Ball last?

Our doors open and check-in begins at 7:00 pm and the festivities begin at 8:00 pm. The event ends at 1:00 am.

Is this event inside or outside?

Both! We serve our food and absinthe inside in the main hall and our entertainment stage is outside in the large pavilion. We also have Tarot readings in the main hall.

Is there seating outside?

We have very limited seating outside (picnic tables). Please bring camp chairs or blankets for your seating. Otherwise, you gamble that you can grab one of the very few seats!

Can you recommend a hotel nearby?

There are several excellent hotels in nearby Rancho Cordova. Yelp recommends Residence Inn, The Courtyard, and Hampton Inn.

Will alcohol be served at the event?

The VFW post where the event takes place has a “no host” bar. There will also be a “Green Fairy Area” where absinthe will be served in the traditional ritual fashion. Only those 21 years of age and older may consume alcohol on the premises. ID is required.

Does my ticket cost include dinner?

The event costs $25 for entrance. Meals prepaid with online ticket purchase are $5.00 each. Meals purchased onsite without prepayment are $8.00. The menu is: vegetarian and non-vegetarian chili and cornbread plus a drink (iced tea, lemonade, coffee, or hot cocoa).

Since you allow 18-year-olds to come to the event, how do you know they are not ordering alcohol?

The event has active security on site. Bartenders will card anyone who looks under 40-years-old.

You say this is a fund-raiser. Who does it benefit?

The Sacramento Witches’ Ball is a fund-raiser to not only pay for its own expenses, but also to fund the PanGaia Festival held each June. The PanGaia festival benefits the Sacramento Wildlife Center.

Who is North Western Circles Association?

North Western Circles Association is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that produces fun events throughout the year to benefit worthy causes. Each member of NWCA has more than a decade of experience in festival production, as well as backgrounds in marketing, contract negotiation, and business management.

Can I wear a costume? What is the dress code and style?

Costumes and formal wear are encouraged, but not required. Guests must dress in “beach legal” attire.

What does “beach legal” mean?

It means that if you wore your costume on a family beach, you would not be arrested for indecent exposure.

Can I smoke medicinal marijuana at the event?

Our venue is private property and as such, is subject to VFW regulations, which forbig marijuana consumption of any kind on the property. Please consume as needed before you attend the event.

How can I get a ticket?

Tickets go on sale the week of August 1st. You may purchase a ticket on this website by clicking here.

You used to sell ticket by mail. How do I do that?

We changed ticketing systems for faster check-in. The new system requires that all ticket sales happen online. This also streamlines our accounting and admin functions.

I can’t come to the event and I already bought a ticket. Can I get a refund?

Ticket sales are non-refundable. Before October 10th, you may transfer your ticket to a different person and allow them to use it. If you do so, you must inform us of the transfer or the new ticket-holder will not be admittedTell us your name and the name of the person to whom you transferred your ticket.

Will there be tickets available at the door?

Tickets are available at the door ONLY if we do not sell out in advance. When they are gone, they are gone. If tickets remain at the time of the event, they may be available at the door. We make no guarantees that such will be the case.

How do I get my ticket after I pay?

You will receive an email from Sacramento Witches Ball that includes your receipt with a barcode. Print out this receipt, including the barcode, to bring with you to the event. We will scan the barcode to check you into the event. Alternately, you may show us the barcode on your phone and we can scan your phone. If you do not receive your email/ticket within 24 hours of payment, please check your junk mail/spam folder. If you do not find it, email us at info@sacramentowitchesball.com and we will assist you.

Is Lady Luna running this event?

Although Lady Luna previously hosted Witches’ Balls in the area, she has not done so for several years. Knowing how much people enjoyed the premise, NWCA board memembers voted to revive the event in our own way.
